Then
We lived both sides
Ben built what the business needed; Geronimo governed what it ran. Operator-built software, held to engineering’s bar. It shipped, and it held up.
About Stoda
Ben built the tools a regulated fintech ran on. Geronimo, its CTO, answered for them. Making that safe was Stoda before Stoda – and then AI handed every operator a keyboard.
The story
Then
Ben built what the business needed; Geronimo governed what it ran. Operator-built software, held to engineering’s bar. It shipped, and it held up.
Overnight
Overnight, every operator became a builder. Tools that took a quarter now take an afternoon – building stopped being the bottleneck.
Now
Running it safely – access, versioning, audit, accountability – got no easier. That gap is where operator tools die, and that gap is what Stoda removes.
Who we are
Stoda is in its design-partner phase: a small number of companies, working directly with the two of us.
Co-founder · CEO
Engineer and infrastructure lead. As DealMaker’s CTO he ran the platform a regulated fintech depended on – and when his operators started building with AI, he built the framework that let them ship safely instead of hearing no.
Co-founder · COO
Operator. Seven years at DealMaker across customer success, sales ops, product, and BizOps, leading the internal team that built what engineering didn’t have time for. The operator Stoda is built for, because he was one.
We’re hiring our founding engineer. See the role.
What we believe
Operators should build around their process – not conform to someone else’s roadmap. CTOs should govern that building with real infrastructure, not hope it doesn’t happen. Engineering should ship product, not internal tools.
For the first time, that’s actually possible. Software that follows the process, not the other way around. Suddenly, custom is scalable.
Blocking it isn’t the answer. Block it and you don’t eliminate the risk – you just lose visibility. Operators build anyway, in tools you don’t control, on data you can’t audit.
The right answer is infrastructure. Rules, auth, security, and QA from day one. Engineering ships product. Operators encode their process. CTOs get real governance. And the layer that holds it all together – that’s Stoda.
If your operators are already shipping, or should be, talk to us.
